I’m Shiann.
doula. mother. birth nerd.
I’m a Melbourne Birth Doula living in the fringe between the Dandenong Ranges and the Yarra Valley. I am honoured to be chosen by families to support them in this profound and precious time as they bring their child into the world.
I love supporting families to have a positive, empowered birthing experience and I am passionate about women making informed decisions about their care in pregnancy and birth. Every woman and every birth is different – only you can know what is right for you.

From the moment I met you, you made me and my husband instantly feel comfortable and empowered for our birth plan. You gave us so much information about birthing which really helped us understand the natural process of what a woman’s body is capable of doing and you helped me feel very confident within myself. When I was in labour, all I had to do was send you a text message and you were in the room, it felt- in minutes! You supported me, massaged me during my contractions and made me feel very safe.
Having you visit us during those postpartum days was like sunshine on a rainy day. You are not just a doula, you are a beautiful, caring and kind hearted human being. I am so grateful that we hired you for your wonderful services (and the little comb!!) and I will always remember the kindness and generosity you showed us.
